Este es el problema al instalar ubuntu 13. Voy a documentarlo.

Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists possible device or file completions.

Se puede usar:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure grub-pc

Te preguntará en qué disco crearlo, pero no sé exactamente qué opciones te aparecerán en tu caso.

O usar esto según leí, pero no funciono en mi caso.

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install boot-repair
